Hourly Rate: $17.65

SUMMARYProvides game day support to the athletics department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.
Admissions
  • Welcome guest during game time
  • Receives monies for admissions
    • Current entry fee
      • Current students, faculty, and staff with ID - free
      • Non-WAU students, faculty and staff - $5.00
      • Children 5 and under - free
  • Allows entry to visitors on Team Guestlist that is provided by Office Manager
  • Assist with set up before the game and clean up after the game
  • Set up before the game and takedown after game
  • Clean up
  • Make sure no one sits in a position that their legs hang off stage
Security / Door
  • Ensures that guest/visitors do not walk on the court, behind the basketballs hoops, sit with legs hanging off the stage, jump off the stage, or hang around the entrance doors/stairwell.
  • May be asked to open doors for referees or visiting team.
  • Assist with set up before the game and clean up after the game
  • Set up before the game and takedown after the game
    • Pull out bleachers
    • Set up chairs for players
    • Set up tables and chairs for admissions and concessions
  • Clean up
Floor Cleanup
  • Moves quickly to clean slippery areas on the court as told by referee, coaches, or other game staff.

Concessions
  • Sells snacks to visitors according to the provided price list

Ball Person
  • Responsible for making sure a game stays in play at all times
  • Retrieve balls from out of play area's which may include going over the fence or into the street

Operations
  • Great visiting team and unlock the Team Room door for them
  • Greet Referees and unlock the specified room for them
  • Set up before the game and takedown after the game
  • Pull out bleachers
  • Give towel to the person doing floor cleanup
  • Fill both Gatorade dispensers with ice and water and place on both tables behind each of the team areas (behind chairs, against the wall)
  • Place cups on each table with Gatorade dispenser
  • Basketball Season: Half time open Team Room doors for both teams and Referees (Trainer will assist with this)
  • Clean up after the game
  • Make sure no one sits in a position where their legs hang off the stage
ALL POSITIONS:
  • CELL PHONES SHOULD NOT BE USED WHILE WORKING UNLESS IT IS WORK-RELATED
  • Keep your work area clear of people hanging around
SUPERVISION:
Received:
Receives direct supervision from the Department Office Manager, Athletic Director, and Compliance Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
The worker must be able to lift 40 lbs.
