i9 Sports offers youth recreational sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-15 in today's most popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Our focus is on fun, convenience, development, and good sportsmanship.ย  i9 Sports is reinventing the youth sports experience for families across the country. We started leagues here in Utah in 2020 and now have over 5,000 kids a year playing in the South Salt Lake County area, and we are still growing.
Job Summary
Do you like sports and enjoy working independently with a flexible schedule?ย  The Operations Manager works alongside the admin team to manage the day-to-day operations of the leagues.ย  All of our games are played on Saturdays, which means there is always a lot of preparation work leading up to the weekend and each season.ย  This position includes operations such as inventory and delivering equipment, as well as, marketing, game day operations, and staff development.ย  This is a fun atmosphere where the focus is on kids and sports. This is a part time job to start, 15-25 hours per week.ย  Ideal candidates can progress into other areas of the business and help with future expansion and projects.ย  ย 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of our warehouse location that includes receiving orders, distributing equipment to venues, keeping inventory records, etc. (This is not a full time warehouse job)
  • Preparing equipment, jerseys, coach supplies, etc for the start of each season, 5 total throughout the year, and helping to transport such items to the appropriate venue
  • Maintaining equipment and organization at our various venues including post season inventory counts and restocking
  • Venue preparation and maintenance that includes painting athletic fields, prepping indoor courts for game play, delivering supplies needed for each season, etc.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of a business marketing plan including road signs, school banners, flyer distribution, in person event promotions, etc.
  • As a Site Manager on Game Days, you will help supervise staff members and volunteer coaches (various locations/sports), this is crucial to understand the philosophy and execution of i9 Sports as a whole
  • Participating in our staff/coach trainings to ensure all involved participants are on the same page to execute effectively on Game Days
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills as this is a leadership role in our system
Qualifications
  • We run Game Days on 33 Saturdays a year (5 seasons), Saturday availability is a must during each season
  • Previous experience playing or reffing sports is a bonus
  • Excellent communication & organization skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter that can work independently & solve problems
  • Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players and effectiveness of staff
  • Positive attitude and a strong ability to build community relationships with parents, coaches, and players
  • Ability to work a varied work schedule including some nights and weekends, some Saturdays are required
