Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in vendor management and a deep understanding of the gaming industry. This role involves overseeing end-to-end project execution, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality gaming products and services. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication skills, a proven track record of managing complex vendor relationships, and a passion for gaming.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for gaming projects.
- Track progress against project plans, manage risks, and drive project execution to meet milestones and deadlines.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Track and monitor project deliverables from different vendors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, facilitating clear and effective communication on project expectations, updates, and potential challenges.
- Conduct regular check-ins and status reviews with vendors to assess progress and resolve issues proactively.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between internal teams (design, development, marketing) and external vendors to ensure project alignment.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication across all parties involved to ensure everyone is informed on project progress, challenges, and changes.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure gaming products meet established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic vendor audits and ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations and gaming industry regulations.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with vendor performance and project delivery.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Game Development, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the gaming industry.
- Proven experience in vendor management, including vendor selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of gaming industry standards, production processes, and emerging trends.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) or Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with game development cycles and associated tools (e.g., C++,SQL Server).
- Experience managing vendors across international locations.
