Job description

Role Overview

The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business within the Food & Beverage market. This role provides the opportunity to work across the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and initial outreach through discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and close—with training, support, and coaching from sales leadership along the way.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in B2B sales, is comfortable learning new technology, and is motivated to grow their skills in software sales. This person will work a combination of inbound leads and outbound prospecting activities, including regular outbound calls, email outreach, trade show follow-up, partner referrals, and targeted account research.

Success in this role requires curiosity, organization, coachability, and confidence communicating with both operational users and business leaders. The Sales Executive will also work closely with implementation, support, product, integrations, account management, marketing, and partner teams throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managethe sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through proposal and close.
  • Build andmaintaina qualified pipeline through inbound leads and consistent outbound activity.
  • Make regular outbound calls and conduct email outreach to prospective customers.
  • Qualify opportunities based on business fit, urgency, budget, technical needs, andimplementationreadiness.
  • Maintainaccurateopportunity details, notes, next steps, activity, and forecasts in CRM.
  • Follow up promptly on inbound, outbound, trade show, and partner-sourced leads.
  • Build credibility with operational users, managers, and executive decision-makers.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the software and deliver consultative demonstrations that connect system capabilities to theprospect’sbusiness needs and workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to confirm fit, feasibility, pricing, and implementation expectations.
  • Meet or exceed assigned monthly and annual activity, pipeline, and sales goals.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows, webinars, partner events, and industry meetings as needed.
  • Provide Marketing and Partner teams with field feedback, industry insights, and customer or prospect trends.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience.
  • Experience working for a software or technology company.
  • Experience prospecting and generating new business through outbound calls and email outreach.
  • Experience supporting or managing a sales cycle from discovery through close.
  • Comfort conducting discovery conversations, product demonstrations, and follow-up discussions.
  • Strong organization and CRM discipline.
  • Ability to learn quickly, accept coaching, and manage multiple active opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
  • Experience with SaaS, hospitality technology, inventory management, POS, ERP, or other operational systems.
  • Experience selling to restaurants, hospitality groups, entertainment venues, retail businesses, or multi-location organizations.
