• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support client healing.
• Facilitate education sessions for clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress; adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic strategies.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards in all documentation and client interactions.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Advocate for clients and mental health awareness, actively working to reduce stigma in the community.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your compassionate support will be essential for vulnerable populations, which may include homeless individuals, domestic abuse survivors, and refugees. Understanding the unique challenges these groups face, you will provide tailored therapeutic interventions that address their complex needs and circumstances.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusting and secure therapeutic relationships, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong capacity for empathy and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients’ experiences and struggles.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to balance client care and administrative responsibilities.

While not mandatory, prior experience with telehealth platforms and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies is highly desired. Candidates with experience in addiction counseling or working with diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
