Rail Engineer - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design track and railway infrastructure in accordance with applicable regulations, laws and standards
  • Participate in the design and construction of projects
  • Lead and assist with the preparation of proposals, design packages, and tender documentation
  • Utilize rail experience to mentor junior and engineers on rail design
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Civil or Rail Engineering from an accredited University
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more US states, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
  • 5+ years of experience on civil earthworks projects
  • 5+ years of experience in design of track and railway infrastructure
  • Experience in the design of crossings
  • Working knowledge of AREMA Standards
  • Familiar with industrial track standards
  • Ability to utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiently would be considered an asset
