Position Overview

Empathetic Therapy Services is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated team in Phoenix, Arizona. This remote position offers the opportunity to provide essential mental health services while working within an outpatient office environment. The position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and a better work-life balance. However, therapists have access to our outpatient office in Phoenix for necessary in-person meetings, case consultations, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and therapeutic goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in managing their mental health.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor client progress, documenting changes and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for mutual clients.
• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic practices.
• Maintain accurate client records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to share insights and learn from peers.
• Advocate for client needs and engage in community outreach to address mental health stigma and improve access to resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving their mental health, promoting recovery, and enhancing their quality of life. Our diverse clientele includes individuals from various backgrounds, including underserved populations such as refugees, homeless individuals, and survivors of domestic violence.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trustworthy relationships with clients.
• A strong sense of empathy, coupled with a nonjudgmental attitude, to support clients through their struggles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to effectively manage a diverse caseload.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing therapy specifically for mood disorders is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with utilizing advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques tailored for individual and group sessions.
• Experience in working with marginalized populations and addressing social determinants of mental health.
