Strategic Alliances Manager (Cybersecurity Partner Sales)

ISMG Careers

Manhattan, NY

$90K - $91K/yr

Full-time

Job description

Build the Partner Ecosystem Behind a High-Growth Cybersecurity Advisory Practice

If you've built strategic partnerships that drive revenue—and you're looking for the opportunity to build something from the ground up rather than inherit an existing program—this could be the role you've been waiting for.

CXO Advisor, ISMG's cybersecurity advisory practice, is looking for an experienced Strategic Alliances Manager to establish and grow a partner ecosystem that fuels our next stage of growth. You'll work directly with executive leadership to develop relationships with cybersecurity vendors, MSSPs, consulting firms, and referral partners that generate qualified pipeline and deliver meaningful value to clients.

Unlike traditional consulting firms, you'll have the backing of ISMG—one of the cybersecurity industry's most established media, events, and intelligence organizations—giving you access to an extensive network of security executives, industry leaders, and strategic relationships.

This is an opportunity to help shape how partnerships become one of the primary growth engines for a rapidly expanding cybersecurity advisory business.

About ISMG & CXO Advisor

ISMG is a global B2B media and intelligence company serving the cybersecurity and enterprise technology community through trusted journalism, executive events, education, research, and advisory services.

CXO Advisor extends that mission by helping organizations solve complex cybersecurity, risk, compliance, AI governance, and executive leadership challenges through fractional leadership and strategic advisory services.

What You'll Build

As our Strategic Alliances Manager, you'll create the foundation for a scalable partner ecosystem that generates new business and strengthens our position across the cybersecurity market.

You'll:

  • Build and grow strategic relationships with cybersecurity vendors, MSSPs, consulting firms, systems integrators, and referral partners

  • Develop partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline that converts into high-value advisory engagements

  • Design and launch referral, co-sell, subcontracting, and strategic alliance programs

  • Collaborate with partners to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities

  • Work closely with executive leadership and marketing to activate partnership campaigns and joint go-to-market initiatives

  • Help create a consistent flow of opportunities for our growing bench of fractional CISOs and cybersecurity advisors

  • Represent CXO Advisor at industry conferences, executive events, and partner meetings

  • Continuously identify new partnership opportunities that expand our reach and accelerate growth

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you'll:

  • Build a high-performing network of strategic cybersecurity partners

  • Launch repeatable partnership programs that generate measurable pipeline

  • Establish CXO Advisor as a trusted advisory partner across the cybersecurity ecosystem

  • Create one of the primary revenue channels supporting the growth of our advisory practice

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who has successfully built revenue through relationships—not just maintained an existing channel.

You likely have:

  • 5+ years of experience in channel sales, strategic partnerships, alliances, or business development

  • A proven history of generating revenue through partner relationships

  • Experience working with cybersecurity vendors, MSSPs, cybersecurity consulting firms, or enterprise technology organizations

  • Success building partner-sourced pipeline and closing complex B2B opportunities

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers

  • Experience operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-accountable role

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building new programs from the ground up

Preferred Experience

  • Existing relationships across the cybersecurity ecosystem

  • Experience creating referral, co-sell, reseller, or strategic alliance programs

  • Experience within a high-growth or startup environment

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity advisory, consulting, GRC, or fractional executive services

Why Join CXO Advisor?

This isn't a role where you'll inherit an established territory or simply manage existing partner accounts.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Build a partner ecosystem from the ground up

  • Help shape the go-to-market strategy for a rapidly growing cybersecurity practice

  • Work directly with experienced executive leadership

  • Leverage ISMG's trusted brand and extensive cybersecurity network

  • Make a measurable impact on the growth of a new business

  • Grow your career as the practice continues to scale

If you're energized by building strategic partnerships, creating new revenue opportunities, and helping shape the future of a cybersecurity advisory business, we'd love to hear from you.

???? Apply today and help build the next chapter of CXO Advisor.
