Job description

Customer Success / Account Manager

Location: New York, NY

Work Model: Hybrid

Industry: AI / vertical SaaS for home services

Compensation: $100K-$130K base, $200K OTE

A bootstrapped, profitable startup building AI agents for the home-services industry (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, remodeling), a market worth over $1 trillion. The company went from zero to seven figures in revenue in under a year and is on track to grow 10x. It is a small, high-ownership team that consistently wins against far larger competitors by out-executing them.

Our partner is hiring their first dedicated Customer Success / Account Manager to own the post-sale relationship for a fast-growing book of enterprise home-services accounts. This is a revenue-focused seat: you will build the customer success playbook from scratch, drive retention and expansion, and turn satisfied customers into growing ones.

You will work closely with the founding team and have direct influence over how the company scales its customer base, with compensation tied to the retention and expansion you deliver.

Responsibilities:

  • Own retention and net revenue retention (NRR) across a portfolio of enterprise accounts
  • Build the customer success function and playbook from the ground up
  • Drive expansion revenue through upsell and cross-sell
  • Partner with sales, product, and leadership to deliver strong customer outcomes
  • Travel to customers as needed (approximately 25% of the time)

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years in customer success, account management, or another revenue-oriented role
  • Strong commercial instincts with a focus on expansion and NRR
  • Builder mentality with experience creating processes from scratch
  • Comfortable with approximately 25% travel
  • Background in home services, trades, or field-service management, or early-stage startup experience, is a plus
