Job Summary: The Insurance Forms Manager plays a critical role in shaping policy language, supporting underwriting intent, and ensuring operational alignment across IPG's suite of products. This role bridges product, underwriting, compliance, and operations to maintain high-quality insurance forms and technical underwriting standards that support our business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Forms & Documentation
    • Develop, review, and maintain insurance policy forms, endorsements, and related documents for IPG's pet insurance products.
    • Analyze policy and endorsement language to ensure alignment with product strategy, underwriting intent, and claims handling practices.
    • Maintain version control, form inventories, and documentation standards in partnership with underwriting.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with product, underwriting, claims, marketing, and operational teams on form updates and technical underwriting changes.
  • Assist internal stakeholders by interpreting policy language and responding to underwriting-related questions.
  • Work with implementation teams to manage timelines and deliverables related to coverage and benefit form revisions.

  • Regulatory & Industry Alignment
  • Track regulatory updates and industry trends that impact policy language, coverage definitions, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that underwriting guidelines and policy forms adhere to MGA, carrier, and state regulatory standards.

  • Technical Underwriting Support
  • Contribute to the development of technical underwriting guidelines, including controls, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure underwriting guidelines are consistently applied across organizational policies, procedures, and products.
  • Support stakeholders in understanding underwriting intent, mitigating risk, and strengthening key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Pet Insurance Expertise
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal health, and pet insurance industry practices to support accurate and relevant policy language.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the broader product and underwriting organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Legal Studies, or a related field; pet insurance experience preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in insurance forms, product compliance, underwriting, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy structure, coverage language, and form development.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex policy concepts clearly.
