To thrive as a Fora Travel Advisor, you need strong destination knowledge, itinerary planning skills, and a passion for travel, typically supported by experience in customer service or the travel industry. Familiarity with booking platforms, travel management software, and any relevant certifications such as travel consultant training are valuable. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and relationship-building abilities set top advisors apart. These skills ensure clients receive personalized, seamless travel experiences, fostering trust and repeat business.

Fora travel advisors often encounter the challenge of balancing client preferences with logistical realities, such as budget constraints, destination availability, and timing. Each client has unique needs, and advisors must leverage their destination knowledge and negotiation skills to create personalized, memorable trips while managing expectations. Advisors also navigate rapidly changing travel restrictions and supplier policies, requiring adaptability and up-to-date information to ensure smooth planning. Collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and team members is essential for overcoming these challenges and delivering exceptional service.

Job description

About The Role

The Groups Coordinator supports the growth of Fora's group business by managing the operational backbone of training, events, and advisor-facing programming. This role is central to ensuring that group-related education, partner activations, and internal initiatives run smoothly, are well-organized, and scale effectively as the business grows.

As group travel becomes an increasingly strategic focus at Fora, this role will help bring structure and consistency to how we plan and execute training, manage registrations, coordinate partners and sponsors, and maintain key systems like Cvent. The Coordinator will work cross-functionally with internal teams, advisors, partners, and contractors to deliver a seamless experience across all group-related programming.

This is a highly operational, detail-oriented role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys managing multiple moving pieces, and is excited to improve efficiency and advisor experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the Groups training and events calendar, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and alignment across teams.
  • Coordinate logistics for trainings, webinars, and events, including scheduling, materials, communications, and follow-ups.
  • Own event registration workflows, including setup, tracking, reporting, and attendee communication.
  • Manage and support Cvent for registration, RFP management and reporting.
  • Coordinate sponsor and partner participation across events, including deliverables, timelines, and communications.
  • Support execution of group-focused programs, including advisor trainings, intensives, and partner activations.
  • Track and report on event performance, attendance, and engagement metrics.
  • Coordinate and manage group leads within HubSpot, ensuring accurate data entry, routing, and tracking across advisor assignments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and processes related to group programming and operations.
  • Contribute to building scalable infrastructure for Fora's growing group business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, events, hospitality, training coordination, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to execute with precision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing event logistics, registration systems, or training programs
  • Comfort working with tools such as Google Workspace, Cvent (or similar), CRM systems, and project management platforms
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and keep projects moving in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving systems and processes
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and based in NYC or willing to relocate
Strongly Preferred
  • Background in travel, hospitality, or group/event planning
  • Experience working with sponsors, partners, or external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with training or educational program coordination
  • Interest in group travel, meetings, and events
Compensation

Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $70K-$85K + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we're considering multiple levels for this role.

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Health Insurance (including an option completely covered by Fora HQ)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Wellhub Memberships
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter Benefits
