A growing and established oil & gas organization is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join its corporate accounting and finance team. This role will be responsible for assisting with SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, technical accounting research, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting or corporate reporting and a desire to grow within a dynamic energy environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
- Prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support the month-end and quarter-end close process related to financial reporting activities.
- Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting pronouncements.
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Analyze financial results and prepare variance analyses for management review.
- Assist with internal control documentation and SOX compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, treasury, tax, and operations teams to gather reporting information.
- Maintain reporting calendars and ensure timely completion of all filing requirements.
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives within the finance organization.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.
- 2+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional public accounting firm preferred) and/or corporate financial reporting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with SEC reporting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
