Job description

Financial Reporting Analyst
Our Houston, TX based client is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to oversee all aspects of the company's internal and external financial reporting. Our client is looking for a candidate with 2 plus years of SEC reporting or public accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the preparation of SEC filings
  • Participate in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process
  • Assist in providing quarterly and annual schedules
  • Review financial results, report variances, and provide related analysis
  • Assist in researching accounting issues and drafting technical accounting memos.
  • Maintain and analyze key performance metrics
  • Support the financial reporting team with various ad hoc analyses.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
· 2 plus years of SEC reporting and/or public accounting experience
· Public accounting experience is preferred
· CPA preferred
