We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the financial planning, analysis, and strategic growth of Carriage. The Financial Analyst will be integral in providing data-driven insights that support operational efficiency, pricing strategies, and long-term planning.

Compensation: $75,000+ (Depends on Experience)

Job Type: Full time (In office 4 days +1 day from home)

Location: 3040 Post Oak Blvd. Houston Tx (Galleria Area) Must be located in Houston, TX prior to consideration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial performance across multiple service lines (e.g., funerals, cemeteries, pre-need contracts, merchandise).
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (e.g. case volume, market share, average revenue, profit margin).
  • Assist with business specific analysis regarding operating and financial performance, variance analysis, and controllable expenses.
  • Monitor industry and demographic trends affecting service demand.
  • Assist in analysis of the financial impact of capital investments (e.g., cemetery developments).
  • Conduct financial reviews with Directors or Regional leadership as needed
  • Perform training workshops for field leadership as needed.
  • Assist in annual budgeting for field businesses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 23 years of financial analysis experience; experience in healthcare, hospitality, or deathcare a plus.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
  • Experience with Power Query/Power BI is a plus and OneStream Mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
