It specializes in non-standard lifting in both the maritime and industrial sectors throughout Quebec and Canada's Far North operating from its offices in Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles.

Your Mission The Financial and Administrative Controller of Tessier Limited and Boréal Cranes Inc. plays a key role in the performance and growth of the companies.

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Vice President – Finance and Administration of Groupe Desgagnés Inc., he or she is responsible for managing accounting and information systems, budget planning, and internal control. A true strategic partner, he or she ensures the integrity of financial transactions and provides reliable data to support informed decisions. His or her main responsibilities include budget preparation and monitoring, general and management accounting, variance analysis, accounts payable and receivable management, payroll documentation, and financial statement production.

In addition to supporting management in optimizing processes and managing growth, he or she acts as a catalyst for change and works closely with the Company's Corporate Controller in a spirit of complementarity and mutual support. Main responsibilities Financial and administrative management Support short- and long-term financial planning for the company.

Contribute to the analysis of major projects, business opportunities, and acquisitions. Ensure compliance and optimization of investments and capital. Manage follow-ups related to government assistance programs.

Budget planning, accounting, and taxation Implement the budget process and prepare annual budgets. Supervise the accounting team and produce financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annual). Participate in audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Optimize the company's tax strategy while ensuring full legal compliance. Internal control and cost management Develop and maintain robust internal control systems and procedures. Ensure effective management of suppliers, labor costs, maintenance, and repairs.

Implement additional controls and contract monitoring measures. Performance and systems management Deploy management tools and reports to track financial, operational, and social performance. Establish and monitor performance indicators.

Produce the internal annual report covering financial, environmental, health and safety, and social performance. Cash flow and risk management Monitor cash flow and receivables, manage credit and currencies. Contribute to risk management (financial, contractual and operational) and insurance.

Human resources and IT Supervise and train staff under your supervision. Collaborate in the management of employee benefits and payroll. Participate in the development and deployment of IT and technology systems.

Working conditions Permanent position based in Baie-Comeau . 5-hour work week (administrative). Comprehensive group insurance programs (including dental insurance).

Required Skills Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent training. At least 5 years of experience as a controller (including 2 in similar roles). Solid experience in accounting, budget management, internal control, and costs.

Excellent command of MS Office and experience with ERP (an asset). Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written. Rigorous, independent, organized, and able to work under pressure.

Strong collaborative leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective communication. Commitment to the Desgagnés Group's values of probity, integrity, and ethics. Proficiency in English is essential for this role due to daily interactions with colleagues, clients, and partners who are primarily located outside Québec, as well as to understand regulatory requirements and technical instructions and specifications.
