We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities. POSITION SUMMARY

As a Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of the organization's financial decisions and play a key role in the structuring, performance, and sustainability of operations. Acting as a link between management's strategic vision and the financial reality on the ground, you will transform financial data into concrete decision-making tools. 

With your rigor, leadership, and business acumen, you will help optimize processes, support growth, and ensure sound, sustainable financial management aligned with the company's long-term objectives.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Oversee and coordinate all accounting operations (accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, payroll, financial reports) for a team of approximately 30 people (administration and field technicians);
  • Prepare reliable and timely financial statements in accordance with ASPE standards;
  • Lead monthly and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance of accounts;
  • Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to secure operations;
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making;
  • Collaborate with external consultants (innovation, tax, IT, and other experts) to optimize financial projects;
  • Actively participate in innovation projects and growth and acquisition initiatives;
  • Identify and implement process improvements aimed at operational efficiency (inventories, automation, flow optimization);
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal and provincial financial requirements.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in an accounting firm considered an asset);
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA designation required;
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian accounting standards;
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Highly rigorous, analytical mind, and strategic vision;
  • Comfortable in a changing environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement;
  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written; functional English (bilingualism is an asset).
