Job description

SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.


The ideal candidate will handle procurement for the project, assist the project manager in planning, monitoring, and controlling budgets, and coordinate and prepare client billing.


  • Lead the financial oversight of complex projects with a strong focus on material purchasing and BOM management.
  • Monitor procurement activities, financial commitments, and project costs to support budget performance and profitability.
  • Deliver meaningful financial analysis on variances, risks, profitability, and cost trends across projects.
  • Coordinate core financial control processes, including month-end activities, work in progress, billing, and budget updates.
  • Partner with project managers as a senior finance advisor and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting tools.

Education: Bachelor's degree in administration or equivalent education.

Years of Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a similar project management role.

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent proficiency in the Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in MS Project (an asset).
  • Knowledge in the technical field of transportation (an asset).
  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, in French and English.*
