Mission

Financial Controller
The Financial Controller oversees all of the company’s financial and accounting activities. The incumbent is responsible for financial planning, budget management, accounting and tax compliance, as well as the preparation of financial statements. They ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and the effectiveness of internal controls.
Main Responsibilities
- Financial and Accounting Management
- Oversee accounting operations, maintenance of financial records, and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
- Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and performance analyses.
- Oversee external audits as well as tax and regulatory compliance obligations.
Transaction Management
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Monitor cash flow and debt repayments.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial results, budget variances, and key performance indicators.
- Provide recommendations to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Support management in strategic decision-making and investment planning.
Personnel Management
- Lead, coach, train, and evaluate the Accounting and Finance team.
- Foster collaboration and support the professional development of team members.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes.
- Perform any other related duties as requested by management.

Your profile

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- CPA designation (asset).
- Experience with the full accounting cycle and team management.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, budgeting, financial forecasting, and tax obligations.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
