Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Finance Transformation for a long-term hybrid opportunity in Urbandale, Iowa. This role will lead and support critical workstreams within a large enterprise Finance Transformation program, coordinating people, process, technology, and real estate initiatives that support the organization's future-state Target Operating Model.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Project Lead, the Senior Project Manager will manage and support multiple workstreams while ensuring strategy and execution remain aligned with the overall transformation vision. This position is accountable for successful transitions and integrations across geographically dispersed teams and requires an experienced project leader who can influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, mitigate risk, and drive major initiatives to completion with minimal oversight.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and support multiple Finance Transformation workstreams across regions and functions
Drive successful transitions and integrations within a large enterprise transformation program
Coordinate direct and indirect resources across geographically dispersed locations
Manage multiple concurrent projects, programs, priorities, and dependencies
Communicate project activities, milestones, risks, and priorities to management and project teams
Develop and maintain implementation documentation, toolkits, and migration schedules
Identify, escalate, manage, and mitigate project and program risks
Create strategic project documentation including business cases, assessments, communication plans, and detailed project plans
Present project updates, recommendations, and decisions to senior Finance leadership
Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making on critical project issues
Support development and execution of the Target Operating Model across people, process, technology, and real estate components
Maintain project controls, governance, and compliance requirements
Manage project and program deliverables through completion
Ensure change-control processes remain aligned across functions
Build productive relationships with senior regional and cross-functional stakeholders

Onsite Monday through Wednesday
Local Des Moines Metro Candidates Required
Long-Term 18-Month Contract

Requirements

5-10+ Years of Project Management Experience REQUIRED
Experience Leading Finance Transformation or Finance PMO Initiatives REQUIRED
Finance or Accounting Background REQUIRED
Experience Within Large Enterprise Transformation Programs REQUIRED
Experience Managing Multiple Concurrent Enterprise Projects and Workstreams REQUIRED
Major Change Initiative and Transformation Delivery Experience REQUIRED
Strong Project Management and PMO Controls Experience Including Risk, Issue, and Change Management REQUIRED
Experience Developing Business Cases, Assessments, Communication Plans, and Detailed Project Plans REQUIRED
Experience Working with Senior Finance and Executive Stakeholders REQUIRED
Excellent Executive Communication and Presentation Skills REQUIRED
Ability to Influence Senior Stakeholders Across Functions and Regions REQUIRED
Strong Microsoft 365 Expertise REQUIRED
