  • Evaluate vendor documentation, data sheets, and technical proposals for technical adequacy, compliance, and risk, and provide clear recommendations to management and customers.

  • Ensure proper application and interpretation of electrical codes, standards, hazard-area classifications, and weapon-system safety requirements throughout the design lifecycle.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks; develop and present design-change proposals; and manage electrical design baselines in coordination with program configuration-management processes.

  • Integrate electrical designs with propulsion, guidance, control, and weapon-system subsystems to support system-level integration, verification, and test planning.

  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineering team members and cross-functional partners, promoting best practices, continuous-process improvement, and knowledge sharing across the Tactical SMT.

  • Serve as primary technical liaison with external customers, suppliers, and internal program stakeholders, representing the organization in technical reviews, audits, and working groups.

  • Lead adoption and use of digital engineering and Agile/model-based practices (e.g., Siemens NX electrical CAD, Teamcenter/CPLM and related tools) to improve design efficiency, traceability, and lifecycle data management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of relevant experience, OR a Masters degree and 10 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
