Job Overview

Our client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Field Project Manager to lead construction fire protection projects from inception to completion across diverse sites. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate teams, manage schedules, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved efficiently and safely. Your leadership will drive project success by maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, managing resources effectively, and adhering to safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on large-scale construction initiatives while fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Travel is approximately 70%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of construction projects on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules using project management software to track progress and adjust timelines proactively.

  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify accuracy and clarify project requirements.

  • Manage construction estimating processes to accurately forecast costs and resource needs.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance, quality standards, and progress; address issues promptly.

  • Maintain detailed documentation including contracts, change orders, daily reports, and incident logs.

  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or HeavyBid for project tracking, reporting, and communication.

  • Coordinate with engineers for technical support using Plant 3D .

  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders through clear updates on schedule status and potential risks.

  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Manage time efficiently across multiple projects to meet deadlines without compromising quality or safety.

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction site management with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other construction management software.

  • Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of contracts administration and construction estimating techniques.

  • Ability to develop accurate project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software; experience with project scheduling is essential.
