Job description

Field Sales Manager (Milwaukee & Madison, WI Markets)

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary: Based on Experience

Immediate Supervisor: Head of Sales / Sales Leadership

Schedule: Full-time, field-based with travel throughout assigned territory

At Drekker, we don't just sell beer. We create experiences, build communities, and obsess over delivering products people get excited about. We're looking for a Field Sales Manager who can bring that energy into the market, develop strong distributor partnerships, grow account placements, and help expand the Drekker brand one market at a time.

About the Role

As a Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and execution throughout your assigned territory. This role serves as the primary liaison between Drekker, our distributor partners, and retail accounts while executing sales initiatives that increase distribution, visibility, and velocity.

This is a highly independent, field-based position focused on growing market share through distributor management, account development, chain execution, retail merchandising, and relationship building.

Ideal Customer Experience

As a Field Sales Manager, your role is to ensure retailers, distributors, and consumers experience the full magic of the Drekker brand through every interaction.

Create excitement wherever Drekker shows up. Whether you're conducting distributor work-withs, presenting to buyers, executing displays, or supporting festivals, every interaction should reinforce the creativity, authenticity, and quality that define Drekker.

Service

Build trusted relationships with distributor teams, retail buyers, chain decision-makers, and consumers. Be responsive, dependable, knowledgeable, and proactive in helping our partners grow the Drekker brand.

Reflection

Leave every market stronger than you found it. Accounts should view Drekker as a brewery that supports its partners, follows through on commitments, and consistently delivers exciting products and exceptional service.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned sales territory while achieving volume and distribution goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor leadership, sales representatives, and key retail accounts
  • Conduct regular distributor work-withs and ride-alongs to improve execution and educate sales teams
  • Prospect and secure new on-premise and off-premise account placements
  • Maintain existing account relationships while identifying opportunities for additional placements and menu expansion
  • Execute chain initiatives, seasonal programming, and approved promotional campaigns
  • Ensure proper shelf placement, cold box execution, displays, tap handles, menus, and point-of-sale materials
  • Support product launches, festivals, sampling events, and market activations
  • Educate distributor personnel, retailers, and consumers on Drekker products and brand story
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and distributor performance to identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain CRM activity, weekly recaps, market updates, and required administrative reporting
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership to develop territory strategies and prioritize growth opportunities
  • Represent Drekker professionally while maintaining the highest level of customer service and brand integrity
Performance Expectations

Field Sales Managers are expected to consistently contribute to the growth of the Drekker brand through measurable execution and relationship development.

Market Growth & Distribution
  • Achieve assigned sales and depletion goals
  • Secure new account placements throughout assigned territory
  • Increase points of distribution across both on-premise and off-premise channels
  • Expand chain placements and permanent menu opportunities
  • Drive distributor engagement through consistent work-withs and education
  • Support successful execution of Limited Time Offerings (LTOs), seasonal releases, and core brand initiatives
Execution & Reporting
  • Maintain consistent market coverage and account management
  • Complete weekly recaps, CRM updates, and expense reporting accurately and on time
  • Attend required meetings, sales trainings, and company events
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback
  • Represent Drekker professionally while maintaining strong relationships throughout the territory
  • Performance is reviewed regularly. Continued employment is dependent upon maintaining performance standards, professionalism, and adherence to Company policies.
Compensation
  • Salary based on experience.
  • Compensation is paid according to the Company payroll schedule.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities may be available based on Company and individual performance.
Behaviors We Value
  • Ownership over outcomes
  • Positive energy and enthusiasm
  • Curiosity and creativity
  • Reliability and accountability
  • Strong communication
  • Relationship-first mindset
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness
  • Strategic thinking
  • Team-first attitude
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
Personal Skills Required
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
  • Two or more years of beverage, consumer packaged goods, or outside sales experience preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Experience working with distributors, retailers, or chain accounts preferred
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and conducting distributor trainings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and mobile reporting tools
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and move beer cases, POS materials, displays, and event equipment
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
  • Passion for craft beer, community building, and delivering exceptional customer experiences

This is your opportunity to help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing craft breweries in the country. If you're passionate about building relationships, growing brands, and creating memorable experiences, we'd love to have you on the team.
