Job Summary:

The Market Field Sales Manager will serve as a key revenue driver and team leader in their local market. In this hybrid player-coach role, they will lead by example by directly acquiring Small and Medium Business (SMB) accounts, while managing and coaching a team of 2–4 Direct Sales Representatives (Door-to-Door).

Beyond direct sales and team supervision, this role will help drive market expansion by identifying and onboarding local sales affiliate partners and helping secure MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) and HOA bulk service agreements. They will be responsible for creating a high-performance sales culture through daily field support, structured training, and strong local execution.

  • This role will be based on site at one of our offices in the following markets: Southlake, TX; Georgetown, TX; or Omaha, NE. 1 opening available in each market.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team as assigned.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Direct Sales & Business Development
    • Directly target, prospect, and close Small and Medium Business (SMB) accounts within your assigned market to achieve personal revenue quotas.
    • Help identify and negotiate opportunities with property managers, developers, and HOA boards for MDU and bulk residential fiber agreements.
    • Prospect, recruit, and onboard local sales affiliates, community partners, and referral networks to expand FiberFirst's local selling footprint.
  • Team Leadership & Field Coaching
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2–4 Direct Sales Representatives (Door-to-Door), fostering a high-energy, performance-driven sales culture.
    • Conduct regular field training, ride-alongs, objection-handling workshops, and product refreshers to ensure direct reports reach their sales targets.
    • Assist with company-sponsored community and pop-up events and serve as the local point of contact to coordinate field activities with third-party door-to-door sales teams deployed in the market.
    • Monitor daily/weekly team metrics, conduct regular 1-on-1 performance reviews, and provide real-time field coaching to address gaps.
  • Operations & Compliance
    • Ensure accurate contract execution, pipeline tracking in CRM, and timely commission reporting for both personal and team transactions.
    • Serve as the eyes and ears on the ground, gathering competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and local market trends to share with leadership.
    • Ensure all personal and team sales practices strictly align with company ethics, local solicitation laws, and corporate policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and / or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in telecom, fiber, technology, or direct sales environments.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding personal sales quotas.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong potential in supervising, mentoring, or training sales reps.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B sales cycles (SMB) and consultative selling techniques.
  • Proficiency using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot), digital POS platforms, and mobile sales tools (e.g. Sales Rabbit).
  • Preferred:
    • Existing business and community networks within the local market.
    • Prior experience negotiating MDU/HOA right-of-entry or bulk service agreements.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or related field.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work full-time, including occasional evenings or weekends based on team outreach and community events.
  • Preferred Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish).

Physical Requirements:
