Job description

Job Description: Function: Oversees the safe and efficient operation of tank storage in the Terminal facilities. Supervise crews during tank cleaning, removal, installation, and site remediation, ensuring compliance with safety regulations like OSHA. Key Responsibilities: •Lead and supervise a team of operators who control and monitor transfers of the various bulk liquid chemicals stored and handled at the facility. •Coordinate and supervise product transfers to and from tanks, trucks, and pipelines (direct movements). •Physically control and monitor all terminal movements. •Physically control and monitor the terminal's utility systems. Interpret computer-based inventory control and order management systems and distribute the daily workload among the Operations team. •Manage all quality control equipment calibration: thermometers, measurement tapes, hydrometers, etc. •Interpret computer-based inventory control and order management systems and distribute the daily workload among the Operations team. •When necessary, verify automated tank gauging systems. Coordinate and interface with customer representatives and surveyors. •Coordinate product movements from the tank farm. •Play a key role in responding to terminal emergencies such as spills and fire. •Drives and promotes safety throughout the site. •Participates in operations, inventory, safety and communication meetings. •Participates in incident investigations and takes action to prevent recurrence. •Ensures environmental policies and practices are followed and all spills are properly reported. •Ensures hazardous waste generated are properly handled and not allowed to accumulate. •Coordinates with Maintenance & HSSE Supervisor. •24/7 availability to respond to critical airport operational needs. •Works closely with the local Operations Manager to research problems and communicate necessary information. •Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies. •Maintains compliance with company policies. •Responds to facility and hydrant issues to minimize any delays. •Trains employees as required. •Some responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and employee performance management. •Manage invoices, PO's, and RFA creation; work with Navision and Kissflow. •Other duties as assigned. Main accountabilities include: •Complete shift reports •Must be able to direct others and give clear directions. •Able to organize and disseminate accurate operational information. •Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff are organized. •Ensure timely response to airlines and fueling teams for equipment-related issues and audits. •Available to work off hours including nights, weekends & holidays. •Represents the Company in a positive manner, modeling ethical business behavior and integrity. •Able to respond to and direct emergency and spill response activities. •Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and injuries and investigates ways in which to prevent re-occurrence. •Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards. •Able to serve as a backup for ramp supervisors in ramp operations. •Asist in procurement activities, delegated buyer and financial entries such as invoices, purchase requisitions and purchase order creation. •Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of what the employee will find when performing his duties. Working Conditions: • Overtime as required. • Work both indoors and outdoors. • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors. Requirements: Experience: • High School diploma, minimum two years of college or equivalent is preferred. • Minimum 2 years in airport operations (preferably) • Availability to travel within Puerto Rico & USVI. Qualifications: • OSHA and EPA Regulations Knowledge (Preferred) • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals. • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required. • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrates customer relationship skills; including ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees from field to corporate executives. • Should possess solid problem solving, multi-tasking abilities and experience in the handling of flight operations. • Computer and experience with Microsoft Office programs required. • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
