Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Farm Monitoring Supervisor at our Sallisaw, OK complex, this position will report to the Multi Department Manager. This role is responsible for supervising Farm Monitoring Technicians and ensuring all flock health monitoring, sampling, biosecurity, and data collection procedures are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently. The Farm Monitoring Supervisor will oversee daily operations, maintain compliance with company protocols, and support the health and welfare standards of all farms within the assigned area.

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Farm Monitoring Technicians.

  • Ensure all biosecurity and animal welfare procedures are strictly followed, including proper farm visitation order and shower-in/shower-out requirements.

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians on sampling procedures, data collection, safety practices, and company protocols.

  • Verify the accuracy and integrity of all blood, environmental, and clean-out samples collected by technicians.

  • Schedule and monitor flock health sampling activities to ensure completion according to company timelines and veterinary requirements.

  • Review collected data and identify potential inconsistencies, contamination risks, or abnormal results requiring further investigation.

  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and supplies are properly cleaned, disinfected, maintained, and stocked.

  • Maintain accurate records and communicate findings, concerns, and operational updates to management and veterinary teams.

  • Monitor technician compliance with biosecurity requirements, including quarantine procedures and avian exposure restrictions.

  • Assist with troubleshooting field issues and provide guidance during changing testing or operational needs.

  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure all employees follow company safety policies and procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the farm monitoring program.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or agricultural/life science background preferred.

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

  • Experience working in poultry, agriculture, animal health, or farm operations preferred.

  • Comfortable with the use of technology, data collection systems, and email communication.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple employees and priorities.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to accomplish daily and weekly goals and adapt to changing operational needs.

  • Must be a self-motivator with the ability to lead safely, accurately, and efficiently.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.

  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.

Other Conditions:

  • Candidate must be comfortable handling farm samples while maintaining sample integrity and lab safety.

  • Candidate should remain aware of surroundings, task priorities, aberrant results, contamination risks, and proper data collection practices.

  • For biosecurity purposes, candidate cannot own or house any wild or domesticated avian species.

  • Candidate must adhere to a strict 72-hour quarantine period after contact with non-company avian species.

  • Many tasks performed in this role require repetitive bending, lifting, kneeling, standing, walking, and contact with live animals.

  • Position may require travel between farms and occasional schedule flexibility based on operational needs.
