Regional Export Manager – Air Export

Emons Air & Sea USA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Export Manager – Air Export to lead our U.S. air export operations. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with strong freight forwarding expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to managing regional teams and export performance.

You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, support key accounts, and play a crucial role in developing our air export footprint across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage regional air export operations across Emons Air & Sea USA offices
  • Ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, U.S. Customs, and all applicable air export regulations
  • Supervise and support export teams across branches, providing training and leadership to ensure high performance
  • Coordinate with carriers, agents, and vendors to optimize routing, pricing, and service quality
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support client needs and drive regional growth
  • Develop and enforce SOPs and best practices for air export processes
  • Monitor KPIs, costs, and productivity, implementing improvements where necessary
  • Act as a key escalation point for operational issues and ensure timely resolution of shipment challenges
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in air export within freight forwarding/logistics
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams or regional operations a preference
  • Strong understanding of international air export processes and documentation (MAWB, HAWB, AES, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance (TSA, IATA, EAR, etc.)
  • Proficiency in logistics systems such as CargoWise, Magaya or similar TMS platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • TSA Security Coordinator certification
  • Experience managing high-volume or time-sensitive export operations
  • Multilingual skills (German, Spanish, or other languages) are a plus
