Position Overview
The Ocean Exports Manager oversees and manages all aspects of ocean export operations to ensure the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods to international destinations. This role requires strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, carrier negotiations, export documentation, and customer service. The manager serves as the primary point of contact between clients, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure seamless logistics execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Ocean Export Operations: Oversee day-to-day export shipments from booking through delivery, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met.
- Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Negotiate rates and service agreements with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to optimize cost and performance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and manage export documentation (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, etc.) in accordance with international trade regulations and company policies.
