Job description

Job Title: Ocean Export Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in an International Logistics role focused on Ocean Export Customer Service and Documentation. This position is responsible for coordinating export shipments, handling customer service functions, preparing export documentation, and ensuring shipments move efficiently and accurately through the export process.

Experience in international logistics is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the ability to learn quickly, maintain a positive attitude, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is an in-office position only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking through file closure
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with clients, carriers, and overseas agents
  • Prepare and process export documentation accurately and timely
  • Handle quotes and shipment bookings
  • File AES (Automated Export System) submissions
  • Submit Master Bills of Lading (MBL)
  • Monitor shipment status and resolve issues as needed
  • Maintain organized shipment files and complete file closings
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and company procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in ocean export, freight forwarding, or international logistics preferred
  • Knowledge of export documentation and shipping procedures is a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
