Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Ocean Export Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ocean export operations within the freight forwarding industry and possess in-depth knowledge of export documentation, regulations, and shipment management. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage ocean export shipments from origin to destination.Prepare, review, and process export documentation in compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations and export procedures.Handle shipments as both a Freight Forwarder and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier).Coordinate hazardous cargo shipments and ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulations.Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, vendors, overseas agents, and internal teams.Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving shipment issues.Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays or operational challenges.Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity within company systems.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.Collaborate with team members to support operational efficiency and service excellence.Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs while meeting tight deadlines.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum 3 years of Ocean Export logistics experience working directly for a freight forwarder.Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.Experience handling shipments in both Freight Forwarder and NVOCC environments.Experience with hazardous cargo shipments; DG Certification is highly preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple audiences.Strong attention to detail and accuracy to prevent costly shipment errors.Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and adjust quickly when circumstances change.Capable of working independently and carrying out responsibilities with minimal supervision.Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred QualificationsDangerous Goods (DG) Certification.Experience working in a high-volume international logistics environment.Familiarity with transportation management and freight forwarding systems.This position is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring the smooth execution of ocean export operations.
