ERMCO is looking for Assistant Project Managers that will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of Electrical Construction Projects. You will provide support to the assigned Project Manager or Project Executive. This position reports to the Project Executive This is an in-office and/or on the job site position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Meet regularly with the Project Manager to review project progress and updates.
  • Assist field leaders with project tasks and the management of project documentation.
  • Collaborate in the creation of the initial project budget in accordance with ERMCO SOP.
  • Work with the Labor Management team and field leaders to ensure appropriate staffing and adherence to field SOPs.
  • Assist in preparing monthly projections, developing project schedules, submitting billings, and tracking receivables.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to effectively allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment for project needs.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, change orders, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Assist in pricing change orders and gathering information necessary for their development.
  • Implement best practices and innovative strategies to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
  • Promote and maintain a strong team culture among team members.
  • Engage in training to learn Accubid, COINS, Build, and other management software tools relevant to your role.
  • Work closely with Business Development and Leadership to sustain existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities.
  • Estimate projects as needed for review with your direct supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering, or 2 years of construction field or office experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and team members within a very diverse company
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a sense of urgency and thoroughness with a professional, positive, pro-active and energetic attitude
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and/or within a team
