Summary

The Activities & Events Intern works closely with the Programs and Activities team to gain hands-on experience in event planning and execution. This role supports the coordination of event logistics, collaborates across departments, and assists with marketing efforts to promote events. The intern contributes to creating engaging and seamless guest experiences while maintaining high standards for event quality and presentation.

What You'll Do

-Partner with an Event Strategist to support the execution of event plans and help bring creative event concepts to life.
-Collaborate with multiple departments to support event coordination.
-Assist with marketing and communications efforts not only for events, but also across additional departments, providing support with promotional materials, messaging, and outreach initiatives to ensure consistent and effective communication organization-wide.
-Assist with event logistics, including reserving meeting spaces, coordinating transportation, and supporting setup and breakdown of event areas.
-Participate in site visits and walkthroughs to help prepare for upcoming events.
-Provide administrative support using Microsoft Office tools to ensure smooth daily operations.
Assist with tracking expenses, managing supplies, and supporting budget-related activities.

What It Takes To Succeed

-Strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
-Interest in marketing, communications, or event promotion is a plus.
-Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative.
-Ability to assist with physical event setup, including moving light equipment and preparing event spaces.
-Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.

Education
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
Additional Requirements and Qualifications

College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred.
