Job description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for OPS External Events Operation Team members that will assist the external events staff with the set-up and breakdown of all University Athletic Association events. Those duties include but are not limited to, parking assistance, gate attendants, and guest check-in. Such duties might require moving large objects such as furniture, tables, chairs, stages and podiums. This posting will be open until qualified candidates have been selected.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time and regularly lifting and moving up to 50 pounds is required
  • Working a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work independently during event sets and possess strong attention to detail
  • The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous event set-up experience is preferred
  • A positive attitude and an outgoing personality is a plus

BENEFITS:
This is a part-time position with no associated benefits.
