Position Description

Bluebird Kids Health is seeking an entrepreneurial, field-oriented Events Manager to build and scale our events channel as a driver of new patient acquisition. This role reports to the Director of Growth.

You will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing both owned events (such as meet & greets, educational programs, and community baby showers) and community events. You will identify what works, measure results, build scalable playbooks, and continuously improve performance across markets. You will manage a team of Community Outreach Coordinators, driving execution, coaching performance, and helping build a scalable field engagement model.

You will spend significant time in the field attending events, engaging families, coaching teams, gathering insights, and rapidly testing improvements. You will also partner closely with Community Outreach, Marketing, Clinical, Operations, and Finance to build a repeatable and scalable growth channel.

The ideal candidate is a builder who loves creating something from nothing, is energized by working directly with people, and is excited by the opportunity to shape a growing function within a mission-driven organization.

What You'll Do

  • Build and Scale Bluebird's Event Growth Channel
  • Develop and execute a strategy for owned events and community event participation to drive new patient acquisition
  • Identify and scale successful programs while discontinuing those that do not deliver results
  • Design, Test, and Launch New Programs
  • Develop and pilot new event concepts, educational programming, and community engagement initiatives based on family needs and business priorities
  • Continuously test and refine event formats, messaging, attendee experiences, and conversion strategies
  • Translate insights from data and the field into scalable programs and best practices
  • Drive Performance Through Data and Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and track key performance metrics including attendance, lead generation, lead quality, new patient acquisition, and cost efficiency
  • Analyze performance across event types, markets, and audiences to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Quickly identify root causes of underperformance and implement solutions
  • Build Systems, Playbooks, and Training
  • Create event playbooks, toolkits, training materials, and operating procedures that can be scaled across markets
  • Develop systems and resources that empower Community Outreach Coordinators and other field teams to execute successfully
  • Lead From the Front
  • Spend significant time in the field attending events, engaging families, coaching team members, and identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Act as a natural ambassador for Bluebird Kids Health in every interaction with families, partners, and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • BA in marketing, communications, or similar field preferred
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in field marketing, community growth, experiential marketing, events management, startup operations, campaign field operations, community engagement, or related roles
  • A builder's mindset: you enjoy creating something from nothing, testing ideas, learning quickly, and turning successful experiments into scalable programs and playbooks
  • Strong analytical skills: you use data to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and make recommendations
  • Results oriented:   A relentless drive to hit your numbers.  You own your targets, take a miss personally, and keep finding the next angle until the goal is closed
  • Exceptional communication skills: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and quickly build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • A hands-on approach: you are excited to spend significant time in the field, learn directly from families and team members, and lead by example
  • Adaptable and resourceful: you thrive in fast-paced environments, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can effectively influence and drive results across teams without direct authority
  • A natural ambassador: you're outgoing, warm, and energized by meeting new people; you represent Bluebird with enthusiasm and professionalism
