MISSION OF THE POSITION

Estimator Coordinator manages the bidding process, acting as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and the internal estimating team to prepare accurate project cost estimates. They organize project documentation, analyze bid documents, and track deadlines for construction projects.ย 

Key Responsibilities

  • Bid Coordination:ย Organizing, reviewing, and tracking bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Documentation Management:ย Preparing bid documents, analyzing drawings, and ensuring accuracy in cost databases.
  • Communication:ย Acting as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and coordinating with project teams.
  • Scheduling:ย Setting up site visits, meetings, and maintaining proposal deadlines.
  • Administrative Support:ย Utilizing software likeย Excelย orย QuickBooksย to track expenses and project data.ย 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and update the Estimating Calendar by keeping track of new projects and assigned estimators.
  • Update bidders list spreadsheets.
  • Provide updates to staff on any project that is not covered.
  • Keep track of bids sent to customers, low bidders, and customer bid track win rates.
  • Assist with increasing efficiency of sales and estimating staff.
