Job description

IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Estimator Trainee for an aerospace manufacturing company located in Corona, CA.

As an Estimator TRAINEE you will LEARN TO analyze customer blueprints, specifications, proposals, quality requirements, and other documentation to prepare time and cost estimates of parts for the aerospace and military, as well as other industries

You must show a capacity to quickly assimilate and understand the implications of new developments and be ready to respond appropriately to situations as they evolve.   We work in a fast-paced industry, and therefore, require a fast-paced attitude and commitment.

You will be trained to (Not Inclusive):

v  Analyze drawings, parts lists, and other data to determine manufacturing requirements. 

v  Consult with outside suppliers. Compile and review request for quotes.

v  Prepare cost estimates used by management for purposes such as planning/organizing/scheduling work, preparing bids, and determining cost effectiveness of make/buy analysis. 

v  Responsible for producing timely, accurate and complete estimates.

v  Display awareness of competitive market and cutting-edge manufacturing processes as well as our established manufacturing processes.

v  Make recommendations to improve the manufacturing process.

v  Other duties as requested by area lead and/or management. The

REQUIREMENTS:

v  Must be a self-starter & self-motivated with a minimum education of High School diploma or equivalent.

v  Good computer skills and knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel, etc.).

v  Previous cost estimate software experience is preferred.

v  Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.

v  Typing minimum of 25 wpm.

Shift:  M-F      7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Candidates offered a position will undergo Drug Testing, we participate in E- Verify.  Candidates offered a position will undergo Background Check.  Must have Evidence of “US Person” is required under ITAR regulations               

Compensation: $24 - $25 hr.
