What You'll Do

As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a key role in helping us win work and deliver successful projects. You'll lead the estimating process from concept through proposal while collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, project teams, and clients.


Your day-to-day may include:

  • Preparing accurate HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping estimates for projects ranging from conceptual design to final bid
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documents to develop competitive pricing strategies
  • Performing design calculations and assisting with equipment and material selections
  • Identifying labor factors, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Building strong relationships with general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and owners
  • Reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes and incorporating them into final estimates
  • Attending pre-bid meetings, turnover meetings, and project setup meetings
  • Developing labor budgets for awarded projects
  • Helping mentor and supervise Estimator Trainees
  • Supporting bid tracking, bid reviews, bid bonds, and drawing procurement

What Makes You a Great Fit

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping systems
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Solid understanding of applicable plumbing and mechanical codes
  • Experience with estimating software and tools such as AutoBid, Excel, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to think strategically while staying detail-focused

Preferred Experience

We know there are different paths to success in this industry, so you may be a fit if you have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, OR
  • 10+ years of field experience in HVAC, Plumbing, or Mechanical Piping, OR
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping
