The Program Manager reports to the ePMO IS Portfolio Director and is responsible for all items under the job description.

Job Description

  • Assists Director or a project management office with administrative program activities.
  • Project Management:
    • Manages or serves as a project team member on projects with limited scope and minimal complexity and risk.
    • Assists PMs with tracking project activities, updates, and reporting across existing and new projects (for example, help track follow up items, issues, PCRs, meet as needed to help PMs update SN etc.)
    • Uses basic project management techniques to manage less complicated projects of limited scope, risk, duration, budget, or complexity under the direction of a higher-level project manager.
    • Manages and coordinates all tasks associated with one or more small projects with minimal complexity and risk or a component of a larger project of minimal to moderate complexity and risk.
  • Administrative:
    • Assists with facilitating meetings and organizing meeting logistics such as: scheduling meetings, reserving meeting rooms and other resources, preparing meeting minutes, and other communications as required.
    • Communicates to project team members and stakeholders scheduling information and changes, as needed.
    • Maintains and updates ePMO documents & materials as needed, including but not limited to:
      • Onboarding guide for IS and Ops PMs
      • PM expectations
      • SN crosswalk
      • Processes (Change request, project closure etc.)
    • Invoice processing for all IS PM portfolio expenses, including contractors in Ourday
    • Leads and oversees any initiatives and projects that are non-routine as assigned by Director
  • Demand/'Discovery' Management:
    • Assists in the needs analysis, preparation of business case, or other required documentation during pre-planning stage as requested.
    • Assists Director with all aspects of project assignments
  • Resource Management:
    • Training/onboarding/orienting of all new IS PM team new hires, including contracting with external labor (contractors to report directly to this position)
    • Contractor and MUSC PM timecard approvals
    • Auditing/monitoring PM ServiceNow project records and artifacts are accurate and following PM expectations
    • Adjusts IS PM resource plans in ServiceNow
    • Assists director with all aspects of project manager assignments
