Job description

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as the primary support contact for their Epic application in the Inpatient team.  Designs, builds, and tests the system to achieve workflow requirements to meet end user needs.  Provides computer technical expertise, project management, technical guidance and direction in the implementation and operation of the computer system. Organizes and schedules a variety of major and/or complex computer system tasks, including programming, in a timely and proficient manner. 

Individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UH staff and perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the UH policies and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field is required.  Experience as an Epic application analyst preferred but not required.  Experience specifically in Epic Inpatient systems applications preferred.  Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.  Experience in an inpatient pharmacy preferred but not required. Work experience may be substituted for formal education requirement. Will be required to successfully pass the Epic pre-assessment test.
