Description:

EVS Supervisors are responsible for the short- and long-term activities of the Environmental Services department They must assist with the planning and development of procedures to improve the operation quality and efficiency of the department. Supervisors are actively involved in the hiring, training, and coaching of the EVS staff. They must also provide assistance with hands on cleaning if necessary.

Duties:

EVS Supervisors must:

  • Collaborate with the onsite customer, venders, Powerlink corporate office, and associated sites.
  • Develop a strong understanding for the needs of customers.
  • Adhere to Powerlink's values and policies including attire, demeanor and methodologies.
  • Supervise the EVS activities in assigned locations, this includes but is not limited to staffing levels, ordering/maintaining stock inventory, closet PAR levels, new product assessment and financial goals.
  • Implement standardized systems to maximize productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize process analysis methodologies to develop solutions and enhance efficiencies.
  • Identify, coordinate and supervise department projects.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with the scope of work.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff and provide employee onsite training/orientation.
  • Coach and provide career development advice to staff.
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling including work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, back-up for absent employees, shift rotations.
  • Assist staff in resolving complex issues.
  • Scheduling and conducting department meetings.

Qualifications:

In order to qualify for this position, you must have:

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • 6 years of EVS experience. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in the field desirable.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
  • An extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Web based applications.
  • Minimum of high school diploma, however some college is preferred.
  • The willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to perform any and all aspects of EVS operation. This is a working position when required.
  • A thorough understanding of customer experience and customer service techniques.
