Job description

Environmental Services Coordinator Job Duties:
According to established policies and procedures, assists the Environmental Services Management staff in the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department. Assist with management responsibilities including, but not limited to, payroll, staffing, budget, Quality Assurance, maintenance repair, counseling, discipline, and supply inventories. Assures cleaning conforms to department standards.
  • Oversees the scheduling and training of Environmental Services employees and auditing their work assignments on their shift on as daily basis. Completes necessary documentation of inspections.
  • Gives functional direction to the Environmental Services staff on special assignments and projects. Observes for damage, cleanliness, safe and attractive conditions, sterilization of special areas and maintains or reports to the appropriate staff via the manager or via work order request.
  • Fills in vacant positions as needed to assure tasks are completed.
  • Inspects area within the hospital and outside building utilizing the Quality assurance forms.
  • Oversees the scheduling of Environmental Services employees and auditing their work assignments on their shift.

Environmental Services Coordinator Minimum Requirements:
  • High School or Equivalent (GED)
  • 2 to 3 years
  • Valid Driver's License to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of environmental services experience in a healthcare setting, cross-trained in all environmental services procedures preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge related to scheduling personnel, record keeping, basic mathematics, budgeting, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Understands and comprehends cleaning protocols used in healthcare facilities.

Salary Range: $15.50 to $23.75/hr (based on experience)
