Job description

Job Summary:  Provide input to the EVS Assistant Managers in all planning, operational, and budgeting functions, including vendor management. Responsible for additional specified task assigned by the manager/director, in addition to participating in routine daily operations and workflow within the EVS/Laundry Department. Responsible for Safety Huddle Board information, ensuring all shifts receive the same information. Reviewing employee issues and investigating those issues before presenting to Manager if necessary. Responsible to ensure employee files are current and validating annual competencies. Working with employee health and educational services to keep staff complaint for all annual requirements. Maintain a working relationship with Infection Prevention to improve processes and compliance. Operations Manager will be responsible for set up Project work. Operations Manager will represent the CARES values as a part of the daily working environment.

Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent work experience with 3-5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience required.  Strong interpersonal relation, financial and planning skills.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Excellent customer service skills required.  Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Suite and demonstrated ability to learn departmental and organizational programs including GroupWise, Eappraisals, Net learning, Position Manager, Quantros, McKesson, Decisions, Kronos, black light testing, Epic, and . Initiative/problem solving skills required to manage and foster a team environment.  Knowledge of EVS policies and procedures and have demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with hospital employees and the general public. Ability to teach and train supervisors and staff. Available to work any shift when needed. Ability to oversee Caromont’s off campus facilities. Required to pass AHE CHEST and CSCT certification (EVS department will pay for first test).
