Environmental Services Tech
Northlake Behavioral Health System is seeking an Environmental Services Tech to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the facility while supporting infection prevention and patient safety initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
Perform terminal cleaning following patient discharge, transfer, or isolation precautions.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces using approved cleaning products and procedures.
Safely handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, regulated waste, and soiled linens.
Maintain EVS carts, supplies, and equipment in a clean, organized, and secure manner.
Respond to cleaning needs, spills, and environmental concerns promptly.
Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and environmental issues.
Support a safe behavioral health environment by following facility safety procedures.
Collaborate with team members and maintain professional interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
Perform assigned responsibilities during facility emergencies in accordance with organizational procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to follow procedures, maintain attention to detail, and work independently.
Reliable attendance and commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
