At Enbridge, safety and environmental stewardship are at the core of everything we do. We are seeking a Junior Environment Engineer to provide enterprise oversight of our Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Program, supporting U.S. Gas Transmission and Midstream operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare, review,updateandProfessional Engineercertify Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans for all applicable assets.

  • Coordinatesite visitswithappropriate operations personneland conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with SPCC Regulation,identifyingareas for improvement and communicating findings in a clear andactionable manner tooperations.

  • Coordinate themigration of SPCC plans intoSmartPlanand utilizeSmartPlanfor all SPCC plan management.

  • Retainand manage third partyconsultants personnel whenrequiredto support SPCC program, including their compliance with Enbridge's safety program requirements.

  • Provide guidance,advice,and interpretation of SPCC regulations, and where applicable,relatedstate regulations.

  • Update internal systems (ie,Maximo,Enablon) to ensure compliancetasksand inspection findings are tracked and documented.

Who You Are:

  • Degree inengineering.

  • P E designation is preferred or eligible to attain within 12-18 months.

  • Minimum2-4years' experience,ideally withhands-onexperience conducting site inspectionsrelated to SPCCcompliance.

  • Exposure to,andunderstanding of,the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC regulation and/or related state regulations.

  • Experience utilizingSmartPlanor similar platform for SPCC Plan management is an asset.

  • Experiencewithnatural gas transmission, gathering, production, or distribution is preferred.

  • Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Working Conditions:

  • Both office and field environment.

  • Up to30%field work with travel durations ranging from 1 day to 1 week at a time.Exposure to active operating sites often withoutescort /work alone at active facilities.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, walking on uneven/unpaved surfaces,light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
