The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Supervisor manages and coordinates the daily operations of the Environmental Services (EVS) Department at our Portsmouth, NH facility, including both Housekeeping and Laundry. The Environmental Services Supervisor serves as the day-to-day liaison with all internal departments on all Housekeeping and Laundry matters, including the logistics surrounding Housekeeping-related projects.

Other responsibilities of the Environmental Services Supervisor include supporting the Environmental Services Manager with scheduling, training, and quality standards of our Housekeeping and Laundry operations, as well as any duties that support the established goals, objectives, policies and procedures, or strategic initiatives that are set forth by our departments and organization.

This is a working Supervisor role, responsible not only for staff oversight, but also for directly performing EVS duties during staffing shortages, PTO coverage, and intermittent vacancies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in Health Care Environmental Services Setting
  • Prior Supervisory or Lead experience is preferred
