This position serves as a supervisor of assigned environmental health services with formal administrative, programmatic and performance management responsibilities for multiple staff in support of work unit goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Knowledge of technical and operational aspects of environmental health programs.
โ€ข Experience providing effective supervision and leadership of professional and technical staff.
โ€ข Experience evaluating programmatic needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of service delivery.
โ€ข Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
โ€ข Strong communication skills, to include communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and conveying verbal information clearly.
Additional Considerations
โ€ข Experience in the administration of public environmental health programs
โ€ข Environmental Health Specialist Senior certifications are preferred
โ€ข Environmental Health Technical Specialist certifications are preferred
