Job Summary:

Develop, implement and oversee environmental health and safety programs and procedures and ensure compliance with government laws and regulations.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with all government laws and regulations relating to environmental safety.
  • Develops and administers policies, procedures and training programs relating to hazardous material handling and industrial safety
  • Facilitates and collaborates with multifunction team members for health promotion activities for prevention of occupational injuries and epidemic disease.
  • Responsible for emergency medical services to help employees reduce physical injuries.
  • Ensures all health and safety procedures are aligned with local laws.
  • Supports well-being activities and other preventative health care programs.
  • Oversee and establish inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment.
  • May have responsibility for company's workers' compensation program.
  • Serves as point of contact for external agencies including emergency response personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Level Specifications:

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support teams comprised of individual contributors. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion. May coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
  • Directs routine and repetitive operations of team.
  • Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plans.
  • Collaborates daily with direct reports and peers within similar functions primarily for the purpose of exchanging information.


Work Experience:

  • Typically 4+ years relevant work experience


Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
