Job description

We are a law firm in Davie seeking a part-time, entry-level bilingual receptionist to join our team. The receptionist will answer and route incoming telephone calls, greet visitors, perform clerical work, and provide administrative support as needed. It's important to have a very positive and helpful attitude toward all who call into the company.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and possess a positive, professional, and helpful attitude. This position requires someone who is organized, dedicated to client service, able to handle a high volume of calls, and equipped with strong oral and written communication skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate a multi-line telephone system and route calls to the appropriate person while ensuring callers are not placed on hold for extended periods.
- Take accurate and detailed messages when the requested is unavailable and promptly email those messages to the appropriate individual(s).
- Greet visitors and notify the appropriate individual(s) of their arrival.
- Maintain the appearance and organization of the reception area, conference rooms, and other assigned areas.
- Perform computer-related tasks, process incoming mail, send out invoice checks, maintain incoming and outgoing check logs, and manage the receptionist calendar, including scheduling and coordinating use of the conference room.
- Serve as backup for other staff and assist and support legal Assistants/paralegals as needed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Comfortable operating a multi-line telephone system and handling a high volume of calls.
- Able to remain seated for extended periods while managing a busy telephone console.
- Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Typing speed 45-60 w.p.m.
- Prior receptionist and office experience (not required but preferred)
