We are looking for candidates who want to establish their career at a highly reputable law firm while contributing to the growth of the firm! Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments is strongly preferred, as well as a desire to work in a collaborative, team environment. This is an ideal position for a motivated, organized, detailed, and hard-working individual. The Legal Assistant must demonstrate that they possess the ability to meet deadlines, be effective, and efficient.
Responsibilities
Job duties and responsibilities:
• Provide clear and concise communication to a multitude of parties, including the clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance companies.
• Maintain attorney's calendars.
• Ensure deadlines are met.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, record statements, IMEs, and EUOs.
• Follow up and request all documents regarding the client's cases, including but not limited to insurance information, police reports, medical records, and bills.
• Provide support to the case manager and attorney while managing a caseload.
• Prepare demands and draft legal documents.
Qualifications
• The Legal Assistant position is an entry-level position, and legal experience is not required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service or office work experience, or demonstrated interest in the law.
• The Legal Assistant must have a high school degree.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a positive attitude and be computer savvy.
• Strong multi-tasking ability.
