Job description

Overview

The ideal candidate has already established themselves as not only standard bearer in their current position in regards to attendance, quality, communication, and performance to standard but also in their approach to the position as an individual  with a " can do attitude " and positive outcome mindset.  Although an entry level leadership position, this is to be considered a working leadership role. Crew Chiefs are required to clock 95% of their time on the clock to direct assembly operations.

Responsibilities
  • Immediate point of contact for the team in which they supervise.
  • Monitors Performance to Standard Monitors throughout shift and engages employees regarding any overages and/or mis-clockings.
  • Works with team members on Immediate Corrective actions regarding Quality Escapements and or high impact Scrap and rework.
  • Updates area ANDON Boards daily.
  • Speaks to the area ANDON Boards at the assigned times.
  • Monitors all daily 6S Shop Clean Ups at End of Shift and assures they are being performed.
  • Works with employees and distributors to ensure supplies are being ordered when needed.
  • Tracks and approves all PTO requests from team Members
  • Assists during Performance Reviews for input and employee performance feedback.
  • Coordinates and communicates all OT Requirements.
  • Coordinates all potential cross training that needs to be performed.
  • Ensures team members are clocking to work orders
  • Works with Program Management team on Customer Inquiries, Part Shortages and Constraints.
  • Promotes a culture of transparency and problem solving within their team.
  • Experience working with and around all phases of assembly preferred but not required.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
