Job description

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking an IT Help Desk Associate to provide foundational technical support for the firm’s technology needs, serving over 2,000 employees under the guidance of senior team members. This role is designed to develop technical proficiency through the execution of established procedures and hands-on experience with enterprise IT infrastructure. The Associate will support day-to-day operations by responding to user requests, assisting with hardware deployment, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of technology assets and support activities


  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues
  • Respond to, identify, research, and resolve telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support; first-call resolution
  • Audio-Visual support for large group meetings that include web conferencing, video streaming
  • Hardware/Software, Printers, Laptops, Desktops, Tablets, Mobile Devices, and Remote Access support
  • Windows 10 and windows 11, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory Management
  • Work on special projects delegated by IT Manager and Team Leaders
  • Ability to be on-call rotation for off-hours support as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least one year of relevant experience
  • Associate degree in a related area or equivalent technical training/experience required
  • Professional experience with current Windows OS required  

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent would be an asset
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Teams)
  • Experience with Apple OS, Android and hardware preferred
  • Experience with VoIP and mobile technologies preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Federal and State employment law; experience with self-insured benefits plans is a plus
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information and manage information with integrity
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word; etc.) and payroll and accounting systems
  • Ability to manage a high demand workload and pace
  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds, including file boxes, computers, and printers
